Le Petit Tennis
This is an instructional program for children ages 3 to 5 that promotes motor skill development and teaches the fundamentals needed to begin playing tennis. The kids will get a half hour lesson using special kids nets and soft sponge tennis balls on a play area smaller and less intimidating than a regulation court. This program is offered in the spring, summer and fall sessions.
Junior Tennis Camp
This program accepts children over a wide age range (5 to 16) and improves all skill levels. Children are grouped by age range as well as skill level, ensuring that they receive appropriate instruction. This program is offered in the spring and fall sessions.
Junior Tennis Instruction
This half day camp for youth ages 9 to 16 will develop hand-eye coordination, teach basic stroke skills and introduce the fun of game play. Players will be grouped according to experience and skill levels with each group having separate instructors. All groups will further develop strokes, including serves and learn offensive and defensive strategies for more competitive play. This camp is offered in the summer session.
Ever wonder if tennis is for you?
Well, here's an opportunity to find out in an informal way if you like the game. On Friday nights from 6 pm to 7 pm, the Quaker Park Tennis Club hosts a drop in for Juniors and Teens. You need not be a member of the club in order to participate.
A certified instructor from our coaching staff will be there to organize tennis games, drills and offer technical feedback. All participants, members and non-members pay $5 per night. An inexpensive way to determine if tennis is for you.
