QPTCMEN'S LEAGUE
An organized men's league welcoming men of all ages and skill level who are able to play during the day. Games are scheduled over a two hour period on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 am to 10:00 am, from 10:00 am to noon and from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
A volunteer committee diligently creates a schedule with the aim of promoting a balanced, competitive play. The committee ensures that skill levels are balanced mixing experienced players with novice and ranges in between. All matches are doubles play and players change partners after each set allowing each player to play with each of the other players in the foursome.
Depending on the mix of skill levels, players may choose to remain with the same partners. Scores are not recorded as the emphasis is on having a good time regardless of whether the players are competitive, average or just content on having a good fellowship and getting healthy exercise. A member may register as a regular player or as a spare.
One of the players in every foursome is assigned to provide new balls for their game. "Used-only-once" balls may be used if they are in top condition. The responsibility for providing the balls is indicated on the schedule and the committee ensures that the responsibility of providing the balls is equally balanced by all participants.
Participants are emailed a copy of the schedule and a copy is posted on the club bulletin board. Schedules are also posted on this webpage.
League play is scheduled in 5 separate sessions throughout the season thereby allowing participants to play in all or some sessions. Below you will find a listing of the 5 sessions. Session information will become available as the respective date of the session is approached.
To register for the league, members must contact one of the organizers.
