Junior & Children’s Programs
Quaker Park Tennis Club in coordination with the City of Peterborough provides a number of instructional children’s tennis programs. Instructors are registered and qualified through the Ontario Tennis Association.
Registration for the programs is completed through the City of Peterborough website. Maneuvering through the site is challenging, therefore we have provided some quick steps to get you to the right place to register. Please refer to the steps on the right of this paragraph.
Registration Steps

- Under the heading SPORT at the bottom right, click on “Community”
- Click on “Show” under Instructional Sports
- A “Register Now” button is now available for the various programs the city offers
- Scroll down the list to find the various programs offered by Quaker Park Tennis.

Le Petit Tennis
The Le Petit Tennis is our beginner program designed for young kids ages 3 to 5. Here, your child will discover the joy of tennis through fun games. Itʼs all about learning while having fun!
The program is designed to build hand-eye coordination. Equipment? No need to go and buy racquets, they are available for use at the club, simply ask the coach.

Mini Tennis
Our Mini Tennis program is designed for young children ages 5 to 9. Using a combination of low compression balls, lower nets and shorter courts, your child will begin learning basic tennis skills. At this level, children are exposes to the basic strokes and control of the ball.
Each session includes fun drills, and engaging activities that keep kids active and smiling. We focus on building confidence, making friends, and loving the game. Your child will be ready to ace their tennis journey!

Day Camps
Using a 3-tier approach to increasing your child’s skill level and confidence, Quaker Park Tennis offers progressive day camps, Red Ball, Orange Ball and Green Ball.
These various camps build on the skills attained at each level. Through a variety of methods, instructor-led activities, friendly competition and fun games your child will be well-equipped to pursue more instruction and increasing their tennis skills.

Junior Tennis Camp
Aimed at youth 10 to 15 years of age, Quaker Park Tennis Club offers a 5 (half-day) program, which runs through July and August.
The program focuses on hand-eye coordination, basic strokes and introduces the fun of the game through game play. Racquets are available to use at the club for those who do not have one.

How We Support Young Tennis Players
We are dedicated to nurturing your child’s love for tennis! Our programs focus on skill growth, teamwork, and confidence. With experienced coaches, we ensure every child feels valued and supported in their tennis journey!
